7. Security measures

This Website has security measures in place to prevent the loss, alteration and misuse of the information held by us. You can gain access to your details and modify information held by using your User ID and password. You should not disclose this information to any other person.

When storing information, we protect its security by encryption and pseudonymisation of critical data. When we process credit card information and payments, the credit card is subject to strong security measures.

8. Retention periods

In general, we will automatically delete your User Area account information 2 years after you no longer have any active services with us. Since we offer a service for customers worldwide and we need to comply with regulations across the globe in regard to retention of personal information related to contractual agreements, provision of services, financial, billing, invoicing operations and tax calculations, a versioned copy of your contact, payment and billing personal data associated with your past invoices is stored for a period of 10 years after deactivating an account. Your personal data is deleted automatically by our systems in accordance with these retention periods.



You can request your information to be deleted at any time or modify your level of consent for communications from us.

Please note that when a request is made for deletion of your personal information; whether outright deletion or modification of your level of consent for the storage, and communication messages; namely marketing that this may impact some of the services we can offer you.


We may not be able to send you offers and ways you can save time by using our services, news, competitions and rewards if you request not to receive certain marketing information from us.

If you request full deletion of your profile this will affect your ability to easily apply for contract jobs or be found and approached by Recruiters looking for contractors with your experience and skill sets.


We may not be able to send you offers and ways you can save time and money by using our services, if you request not to receive certain marketing information from us.

Please be aware however that should you request profile deletion whilst you have advertisements that are live, these advertisements will need to be removed from the web site too. No refunds will be given, but this does not impact you rights to request removal of your personal data.


If you request full deletion of your profile this will affect your ability to easily place contract job advertisements, or search, locate and approach contractors with the experience and skill sets you are looking for.

Note: We may in some circumstances as required by law be required to hold certain information about you in respect of any legal requests or investigation, and pass that information to the police, or official government body in support of legal investigation such as fraud.

The Protection of your CV

By submitting your CV onto contractjobsearch.com you agree as a contractor that recruiters will be able to search for your CV and view personal information including your name, address, telephone numbers, email address, work history and qualifications.

We use our best efforts to limit access to our CV services to recruiters who agree to abide by our terms and conditions. If any recruiter is found to be breaching these terms and conditions, then we will immediately terminate their use of our services.

You may remove your CV from our database at any time. However, recruiters who have paid for access to the database may have retained a copy of your CV in their own database. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of your CV by recruiters in these instances.

Your information may be accessed from locations outside the European Economic Area. You should be aware that countries outside of the EEA might not have the same policies regarding Data Protection as the United Kingdom.

We will not disclose to any third-party information you provide to us in respect to your CV except with your consent, unless required to comply with applicable laws or in legal proceedings where such information is relevant.


10. Age Restrictions

In accordance with Contract Job Search Terms of Service, we do not sell products, provide services or collect information from any individual under the age of 16.  If you are under the age of 16, you are not allowed to procure services from us and you must request your parent or guardian to purchase services from us instead.
